Kitchen Cabinets

You can be an investigative reporter…
What products were used to make your cabinets? Take a look and see. The front of the cabinets and cabinet doors are usually made from solid wood or wood veneer over a composite. But look at the underside of your wall cabinets. Do you see the bottom edge of the cabinet sides and back? Does it look like glued-together sawdust? If so, that is particleboard—sawdust that is pressed with resin, which may, depending on the manufacturer, include certain levels of formaldehyde. If the edge of the product looks like thick hardboard or paper, it is fiberboard—wood fibers that are pressed with resin, which may, depending on the manufacturer, include certain levels of formaldehyde.

American Clay Plaster

American Clay Plaster

Do you want a healthy wall finish? One that doesn’t stink or smell like paint? How great would it be to have a wall finish that didn’t fade and was easy to repair at any time in the future?

American Clay Plaster is a wall finish that combines health benefits, beauty, style and long-term performance.

American Clay Plaster is a healthy product that contains zero VOCs—absolutely no volatile organic compounds. VOCs are those strong chemical odors you notice around paint, paint thinner, varnishes, glues, new carpet, et cetera—and they can take years to dissipate. Using products like American Clay, with NO VOCs, is important for everyone’s health, but especially for those who are chemically sensitive or have allergies.
